Myaware is delighted to share our research impact report with you. Over the last 10 years myaware has granted over £1.6 million towards research into the myasthenias. This report aims to provide a brief overview of some of the historical findings from researchers funded by myaware. Their projects cover the different types of myasthenia, including Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS), myasthenia gravis (MG), ocular myasthenia (OMG), and congenital myasthenic syndromes (CMS).

Throughout the years, myaware has funded projects that tackle different approaches in research. There have been historical reviews of patient data that help draw conclusions on best practice, investigative projects that unearth different potential targets for drug discovery, and developments of predictive tests for myasthenia progression. By covering so many types of research, the existing knowledge and understanding of myasthenia has grown for the benefit of those who live with the condition.

This work has only been possible due to the kindness and generosity of our members and donors, for which we are extremely grateful.
