A gift in lieu of flowers

Many people now choose to honour a loved one by collecting gifts for myaware, in lieu of flowers, at their funeral.

Collecting gifts to support myaware at the funeral doesn’t necessarily mean that there will be no flowers at all. Floral tributes could still be given by immediate family only, with others invited to make a donation to myaware to support people living with myasthenia if they wish.

There are a variety of ways in which people can make gifts in memory of a loved one at a funeral. Your funeral director will be able to advise you on the different options available. You may also wish to set up an online In Memoriam page on our Memory Wall so that people who are unable to attend the funeral can still donate in remembrance of a loved one.

Myaware can provide donation envelopes and leaflets to be distributed at funeral services.
