Other ways to support

Whether you're an individual or a company, please do sign up today, it will make a huge difference to people living with myasthenia as we could raise £100’s of extra funding every year just from donations generated by ordinary, everyday online shopping.

Every day we speak to vulnerable, isolated people who have recently been diagnosed with myasthenia and don’t know where to turn. Through your donations, they are helped to navigate their individual myasthenia journey, knowing that myaware is with them every step of the way.

Thank you for fighting myasthenia together with us.

Recycling is extremely important for our environment, but it can also help raise funds for myaware! You can also sell items you no longer use to raise funds for the charity. See the options below for more details on how you can help the environment and people living with myasthenia at the same time.

You can also raise funds for free while you shop online via GoRaise and Amazon Smile – take a look below for more information.

Have a look at some of the other ways you can help to support myaware:

Recycling Stamps

Expand

Collecting used postage stamps

We all receive letters and cards in the post. Most of the time, stamps will just end up in the bin - but now you can put those old postage stamps to use!

All kinds of stamps are welcome. Simply cut the stamps out to remove them from the envelope, being careful not to damage the stamp in the process, and start building a small collection of stamps to recycle.

When you have enough to fill an envelope, send them to:

Myaware
PO Box 16992
Sutton Coldfield
B73 9YA

Please note you will need to put a stamp on the envelope – this is not a freepost address.

Every envelope you send raises funds for myaware. You could ask your workplace to get involved or ask friends and family to also save their stamps in aid of myaware.

For more information or to get involved in our recycling initiatives, email [email protected].

The funds you raise will enable continued work in the areas of research, support and awareness of myasthenia.
Thank you for fighting myasthenia together with us.

Ebay

eBay For Charity:

Raising funds for myaware via eBay is as easy as A,B,C!

eBay has set up a partnership with the PayPal Giving Fund to make it easy for sellers to donate between 10% and 100% (or as low as 1% for motor vehicles) of any sold item’s final sale price to a registered charity. There are just three simple steps to sell on eBay for myaware:

Select – choose myaware when listing your item and decide on the % of the final sale price you wish to donate to myaware
Dispatch –
Once the item sells and the buyer pays the full amount, you dispatch the item to the buyer as usual
Donate –
Roughly 21 days after the transaction completes, PayPal Giving Fund will automatically collect the donation from the seller’s account or send an invoice for the funds.

To select myaware as your chosen charity:

  • When listing your item, select the ‘Donate a portion to charity’ option in the listing flow.
  • Select myaware from the list of available charities
  • Set the % of your item that you want to donate to us
  • Receive an equivalent reduction in listing fees! (e.g. if you donate 50% of the final sale price, you will receive a 50% discount on your listing fee)

For more information or to get involved, email [email protected].

Get rid of your unwanted car, motorbike, van or caravan.

Fast, free and for charity.

Giveacar is a not-for-profit social enterprise that can turn your old car into cash for any UK charity. They arrange free collection, and then either sell your car at auction or scrap it with the proceeds (minus service fees) raised going towards your chosen charity.
