Fundraise for myaware

In 2020, during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic my mum was diagnosed with a rare tumour of the thymus gland that can cause a lifelong autoimmune condition called myasthenia gravis. Myasthenia gravis causes muscle weakness in areas such as the eyes and legs, and in serious cases it can affect the muscles we use to breathe. Ever since her diagnosis, she has been dealing with these difficulties on a daily basis and as a result, now has to take lifelong medications to control her symptoms. In support of my mum and the journey she has been on in the last 4 years I am hoping to complete the 3 peaks challenge in June 2024 where I will be climbing Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike all in 24 hours. I will also be hopefully completing a charity skydive to help raise additional money!

Through my small endeavours, I hope to help raise awareness for the day-to-day challenges faced by people living with myasthenia gravis around the world. Rare diseases like myasthenia are faced by millions of people globally, so I hope to spread the message of awareness for these people also. I will be extremely grateful for any donations you can make to support my cause in the next couple of months. All donations will be going towards myaware - a UK based charity supporting people who live with myasthenia gravis and other lifelong neuromuscular diseases.
