Thank you to everybody who entered the photography competition. The standard of was very high and it was very difficult to pick the winners.

1^st Place Winner: "Red Sunset in Kirkcaldy" by Maja Bet

"The red sunrise in Kirkcaldy, Fife on Ravenscraig Beach was a great surprise to start the week. Morning walks with a camera bring me a lot of joy and when the sky is lit with such colours, the impressions remain for a long time. The most beautiful things in the world cannot be touched, just felt in the heart, seen and remembered."

 

2^nd Place: “Carpe Diem” by Darren Karrim

"Carpe Diem reflects that we have to make the most of each day and our abilities, rather than disabilities. It was taken at The Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.”

 

3^rd Place: “Green Lady Buckie” by Maja Bet

"The Green Lady Buckie photo was taken near Bow Fiddle Rock in Buckie on Moray Firth coast at night. Northern Light is a dream come true, seeing the Aurora is a mystical experience. Myth and wonder of the world. Waiting for a green glow to appear in the sky is amazing. I was lucky that the conditions allowed it and I was able to see the Northern lights in Scotland."
