The Great North Run, the world’s biggest half marathon is returning in 2023!

Join Team Myaware and be a part of this iconic North East event!

The Great North Run is the world’s largest half marathon. It has become an iconic feature of Newcastle Gateshead’s cultural and sporting programme and welcomes 52,000 runners to the North East from all over the world.
The Great North Run race starts in Newcastle-upon-Tyne where thousands of runners get ready to take on the 13.1 mile route through the city centre towards the River Tyne and the first step to cross over the iconic Tyne Bridge. If you're lucky, you might get a glimpse of the Red Arrows passing overhead.

From there, runners will travel through Gateshead, the route lined by thousands of supporters, leads runners to South Shields 

where at the top of Prince Edward Road the view of the sea is one of the most welcoming sights along the whole course.

From that point there is just over a mile to go and the crowds get louder as runners make their way down the final straight towards the finish gantry.

So if you, your friends, family or colleagues are up for a challenge then please register your place today.

You must be 17 years of age or over to take part.

You will be asked to secure your place with a deposit of £30 and pledge to raise at least £300.
