Myaware announce Northampton Town partnership

Myaware is delighted to announce that we have been chosen as one of Northampton Town Football Club's charity partners for the 2019-2020 season.

Myaware support 81 people in the Northamptonshire area, of which 70 have received a formal diagnosis of myasthenia and 11 are relatives or carers of someone living with myasthenia. The Northamptonshire support group meet on a quarterly basis with a usual attendance of around 20-25 members.

The group is a lifeline to those with myasthenia and their families and carers, enabling them to join together in self-help, gain the most up-to-date information and treatments for the condition as well as sharing their vast knowledge and experience with each other.

Helen Critchlow, regional fundraiser for the Midlands, said: "I am absolutely thrilled that myaware have been selected as one of Northampton Town Football Club's official charity partners for the 2019-2020 season. The partnership will provide a fantastic opportunity for awareness raising and fundraising for myaware, with the charity benefitting from media coverage of myaware events, personal appearances by players on behalf of myaware, a bucket collection at the ground and access to signed merchandise for fundraising purposes.

"We are looking forward to the season getting underway and working with the club and our members to make the most of this exciting partnership. If I wasn't a Northampton Town fan before, I certainly am now!"

We look forward to working with the club and wish them all the best for the upcoming season.
